Introduction
We are launching a bluefin tuna (BFT) catch and release recreational fishery (CRRF) for permitted vessels. This will take place in Welsh waters between August to December for 2024.
Who can apply
To maximise the benefit of the fishery, we are accepting applications from charter vessels. (i.e. vessels which take paying customers aboard for fishing trips.)
How to apply
Applications open on 28 June 2024 and will close at 23:59 on 14 July 2024.
We will consider your application, as long as you have:
- read the guidance notes
- completed the application form
- attach the application form and all supporting evidence to one email
- put ‘BFT CRRF application submission’ as the e-mail subject heading
