Thank you for your request which I received on 26 May 2021.  You asked for:

An FOI request relating to home education in Wales.

Please could you tell me the latest figures of students educated through home schooling in Wales?

Please could you also provide a breakdown of gender and the regions of Wales this applies to.

RESPONSE - This information is publicly available from the attached link  (Pupils educated other than at school: September 2020 to August 2021).

  • Please could you also provide a breakdown of gender and the regions of Wales this applies to.

RESPONSE - The information supplied to the Welsh Government does not provide a breakdown of gender by regions in Wales.  All home education data is available from Data Cymru.

Data Cymru can be contacted by emailing Suzanne.Draper@data.cymru regarding the information collected/ available regarding home schooling.
