I wrote to you on 14 February regarding your request for information.
Your request
- The planned publication date regarding Wales’ disused coal tips geographical location information.
- Factors that have to be in place before this information can be released.
Our response
As the information requested is environmental, your request has been considered under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIRs).
In response to request 1 and 2, the Welsh Government has committed to publishing the geographical location of disused coal tips in Wales during the first half of this year. The exact date has not yet been confirmed.
Quality assurance processes are ongoing to ensure the information is as accurate and complete as possible. This includes the appropriate processing and correct handling of all personal data relating to disused coal tips.
