2017/18 Q1, Q2 and Q3 data is provisional. Data for earlier quarters are final. Provisional figures will be produced on a quarterly basis with final data published in February.
Main points
- There were 6,875 apprenticeship learning programmes started in 2017/18 Q3 compared to 5,590 in 2016/17 Q3, an increase of 23%.
- In 2017/18 Q3, Healthcare and Public Services was the most popular broad sector consisting of 44% of all apprenticeship learning programmes started, compared to 45% in Q3 the previous year.
- In 2017/18 Q3, 67% and 33% of the apprenticeship learning programmes were started by females and males respectively, compared to 69% and 31% in Q3 the previous year.
