Consultation description

The proposals will help businesses adapt to possible changes in labelling requirements after our withdrawal from the EU. They are relevant to:

  • protected food name and geographical Indicator products
  • wine products
  • mixed fruit and vegetable produce originating from more than one country. 

The proposed amendments involve the following Welsh statutory instruments derived from EU law:

  • The Food Information (Wales) Regulations 2014
  • The Marketing of Fresh Horticultural Produce (Wales) Regulations 2009.
