Original consultation
We want your views on a proposal to give schools additional time to prepare for the new curriculum before its introduction in 2022.
Consultation description
We are consulting on the amendment of regulations which would allow schools to close to pupils for an additional day per year for 3 years.
The proposed changes will:
- provide additional INSET days for schools
- increase the time available for teachers to undertake professional learning
- support the introduction of the new curriculum
