Bedstock surveys show the number of tourism accommodation establishments and bed spaces in Wales by accommodation type.

Information is collected as a Eurostat requirement and provides a snapshot of one of the most significant parts of the Tourism industry. This information is used for a wide range of planning and investment purposes, from input to business plans to planning for major events.

The accommodation bedstock picture is constantly changing as new establishments open or close, expand or contract, upgrade or diversify. Generally, records are updated annually by the local authorities, with a full survey normally undertaken every 3 years.
