In accordance with Section 73 of the Government of Wales Act 2006, Welsh Ministers are required to make a scheme setting out how they propose, in the exercise of their functions, to sustain and promote local government in Wales.  Welsh Ministers are required to publish a report on how the proposals set out in the scheme have been implemented, and to lay a copy of that report before the Senedd.

I laid the report entitled Review of activities and achievements of the Partnership Council for Wales for the 3-year period from January 2019 to March 2022 in the Senedd yesterday. The report highlights the key activities and achievements of the Partnership Council for Wales during an extraordinary period which has included the UK’s exit from the European Union, and the Covid-19 pandemic.

I would like to thank all Partnership Council for Wales members and observers for their contributions and their work towards the achievements overseen by the Partnership Council. Their ongoing commitment to working in partnership to help deliver against shared priorities is valued and appreciated.
