I wish to update Members on the arrangements for PISA 2015.

As from 2 February, secondary schools in Wales are being recruited to participate in the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2015.  The recruitment is staged over a number of weeks until the end of March and if a school is selected to participate, I urge the school to take part.  Schools are selected confidentially based on criteria set by the OECD by RM Consulting, who is the national programme manager for PISA on behalf of Wales, England and Northern Ireland.

PISA is an assessment of how our education system in Wales is performing against and international benchmark and is important indicator of our progress.
