Woodland Creation Planning Scheme: addendum to guidance

A sixth woodland category of ‘Other – Not eligible for Woodland Creation Grant Funding’ has been included in the Woodland Creation Planning Scheme. It is for applicants that do not wish to plant one of the five woodland categories offered by the scheme to be eligible for the Woodland Creation Grant, but would still like to receive funding for creating a plan and to have it verified by Natural Resources Wales as meeting the UK Forestry Standards requirements. Whilst applicants that select ‘Other’ cannot apply to the Woodland Creation Grant scheme, they may be able to apply to other Welsh Government schemes such as the Woodland Investment Grant or use other public or private finance.
