A new forward-looking Welsh Procurement Policy Note (WPPN), suggesting practical strategies to drive decarbonisation actions, is now available.
With around 60% of an organisation’s carbon footprint arising in supply chains for purchased goods and services, WPPN 12/21 offers advice on actions to take in the short and medium term to reduce CO2e emissions in supply chains. Sustainable procurement actions will be a key contributor in reaching a net zero Welsh public sector by 2030, and net zero UK by 2050.
