Dydd Miwsig Cymru
Welsh Language Music Day for businesses

On the 7th of February 2020 we invite your business to join us to celebrate the 5th Welsh Language Music Day.

Here’s just some of the other businesses that have celebrated Welsh language music and Dydd Miwisg Cymru: John Lewis, The Co-operative, EE, Welsh Brew Tea, Cardiff Airport, Brains, Lush, Waitrose and Principality Building Society

We are here to help you every step of the way, we can offer free advice and provide you with all kinds of Welsh language playlists, we can even curate a bespoke playlist just for your business, all free of charge. Here’s other ways you can get involved:

How your business can get involved

  1. Host a gig with a Welsh band – If you own a business space and want to host a Dydd Miwsig Cymru gig - go for it! Just get in touch and we can help you make it happen.
  2. Pledge to play – simply add some Welsh language music to your playlists. Make a pledge to commit to using Welsh language music in public or private business spaces, or use Welsh language music in your promos.
  3. Publicity – If you’ve got a great creative idea, have a quirky or unusual space for a gig, or have lots of staff or visitors and customers, we could even include your business in the communications plan for the day and get your company noticed. But even if you just pledge to play Welsh language music, we’ll share the love on social media and signpost to your business.
  4. Listen to the playlists available here – from campfire singalongs to chilled vibes, electronica beats to festive tunes, we’ve got all you need. We’ve also got playlists for hold music and even playlists for cafes that will last the whole day long. If you don’t find what you are looking for just get in touch.
  5. Join the conversation by using #miwsig, following @cymraeg on Facebook and @dyddmiwsigcymru on Instagram and Twitter.
