The accounts show the results of the Welsh Government, the local health boards and various subsidiary companies.
They include a commentary from the Permanent Secretary, remuneration details, and a summary of income and expenditure, along with explanatory notes.
The Welsh Government accounts are audited by the Auditor General for Wales and laid before the National Assembly for Wales.
The timetable for the 2018-19 accounts is:

- Welsh Government consolidated accounts signed: 15th August 2019 – 22nd August 2019
- Welsh Government consolidated accounts laid with National Assembly for Wales: 30th August 2019
