What we do
The Wales Information Governance Board advises on the privacy and sharing of health and social care information.
The Wales Information Governance Board (WIGB) helps NHS and public services maintain a balance between:
- keeping personal information confidential
- promoting appropriate sharing to delivery better and safer care
It is an independent, non statutory forum. It was set up by the Minister of Health and Social Care for Wales.
