Passported Benefits and Other Schemes


Nest is the Welsh Government’s fuel poverty scheme. It aims to help reduce the number of households in fuel poverty and make Welsh homes warmer and more fuel-efficient places to live.

Arbed is a Welsh Government project to improve the energy efficiency of homes within an area. This reduces energy bills and makes homes warm and comfortable. Arbed is an area-based scheme, householders cannot apply directly for support.

These regulations set out the schemes for providing grants to persons on low incomes who have children, or are elderly, disabled or in poor health and are being amended to reflect the changes to welfare benefits.
