Population assessments

The Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act says local authorities and health boards must jointly carry out an assessment of the population to find out the care and support needs in an area. 

The assessments must also set out the range and level of services required to meet those needs.

Area plans to respond to these reports will be published in April 2018. 

National population assessment

The National Population Assessment report brings together the main findings of the first population assessment. It provides a comprehensive overview of care and support in Wales.
