EMFF Measure IV.4: Article 69 – Processing of fishery and aquaculture products

Update - November 2017:

We are currently considering potential options for the future direction of Measure IV.4: Article 69 – Processing of fishery and aquaculture products.  To help us do this, we would like a better understanding of the potential levels of interest in this Measure.  We would also like to find out about potential projects which might be eligible under this Measure.

We are therefore asking you to tell us about your ideas for projects by filling in a short Processing Idea Form and returning it to us at  SMU@gov.wales by Friday 15 December.

We will use this information to inform discussions about the different options for the future direction of this Measure.

Support is available for investments that:

  • contribute to energy saving or reducing the impact on the environment
  • improve safety, hygiene, health and working conditions
  • support the processing of catches of commercial fish that are not destined for human consumption
  • relate to the processing of by-products resulting from main processing activities
  • relate to the processing of organic aquaculture products
  • lead to new or improved products, new or improved processes, or new or improved management and organisation systems.

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate that a viable market has been identified for their product(s).

Grant Amounts:

The amount of grant offered would relate to individual circumstances and would always be the minimum amount necessary to allow the project to go ahead, subject to a minimum of £2,400.
