February 2018 – We are currently reviewing the Fisheries Business Development Advisors Scheme (FBDA).  We will not be accepting any new applications while this review is undertaken.

Welsh Government has established the Fisheries Business Development Advisors Scheme (FBDA) to support the delivery of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) 2014-2020 in Wales.

The FBDA aims to support to small businesses within the fisheries sector to commission consultants to prepare EMFF applications, including business plans.

Small fisheries businesses will be able to access FBDA support to prepare applications under all parts of the EMFF programme.  This includes Measures relating to the marine environment, in addition to those Measures focused around support for fisheries businesses and investments on-board fishing vessels.

FBDA grant support is available at up to 100% up to a usual maximum limit of £3,000.  Every application will be assessed on a case by case basis.

To apply for FBDA funding you need to read the FBDA Guidance Notes in conjunction with the relevant EMFF Measure Guidance Note(s), and complete the FBDA application form.
