A look at levels of self reported health compared to levels of social capital.
This research involved an analysis of the 2007 and 2009 Citizenship Survey, comparing levels of social capital to levels of self reported health. It also used a measure of neighbourhood deprivation, derived from the Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation. Neighbourhood cohesion appeared to mainly benefit people living in the least deprived neighbourhoods, while having ethnically diverse friendships was most beneficial for people living in the most deprived neighbourhoods.
