Casey-Jane Bishop
Nominated for Young Person award
Casey-Jane Bishop is a teenage anti-bullying campaigner from the Cynon Valley. Casey-Jane began to be bullied at school from the age of 6 and this left her traumatised and suffering from anxiety. Casey-Jane was helped by the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAHMS) and Barnardo’s Resilient Families project. Through the help she received she found the courage to use her voice and speak out against bullying and the impact it has on children and young people’s mental health. She is a Young Ambassador for the charity Bullies Out and is 1 of 3 young people elected to the Welsh Youth Parliament to represent Barnardo’s Cymru.
