  • Gross disposable household income (GDHI) per head in Wales in 2017 was £15,754 or 80.7% of the UK average, unchanged relative to the UK average from 2016.
  • GDHI per head in Wales in 2017 was the lowest amongst the UK countries and English regions.
  • Wales saw the sixth largest percentage increase in GDHI per head out of the UK countries and English regions in 2017, up 1.0%, the same increase as for the UK as a whole. The largest increase was in London (up 2.2%).
  • Wales saw the second lowest percentage increase in GDHI per head out of the UK countries and English regions between 1999 and 2017, up 58.8% compared to a 68.9% increase across the UK.
