This report sets out the findings from a survey of 1,000 Welsh participants. The research aimed to identify the maximum amount consumers were willing to pay for different types of shopping bags in order to help consider potential price points for each type of shopping bag in the future.
The price that participants reported they were willing to pay for different types of carrier bags varied. Responses varied most for the price participants were willing to pay for heavy duty carrier bags.
The environment was a common reason reported for reusing bags.
The report also covers changes to carrier bag use during the COVID-19 pandemic.
