Original consultation
We want to know your views about our proposals for changes to the statutory homelessness data currently collected from local authorities.
Consultation description
The purpose of this consultation is to seek users’ views on proposals for:
- further changes to the current quarterly and annual homelessness data collection return; and
- the introduction of a new twice yearly data collection return covering homelessness prevention and relief.
Your contributions will help us to understand the impact these changes could have on the individuals and organisations that use these statistics. The outcome of this consultation will inform our decision as to whether these changes can be implemented. This is in line with the Official Statistics Code of Practice which states that effective user engagement is fundamental both to trust in statistics and securing maximum public value.
The closing date for the consultation on proposed changes to Homelessness Data Collections has been extended to 1 February 2012. This is because the 6 week consultation period included the Christmas 2011 holiday period. The extension will allow extra time for responses to be provided.
