Gill Sullivan: Maesteg High School, Maesteg
Gill is the calm in the storm of many vulnerable children’s lives and offers a haven in the school when things aren’t going well. She made over 2,000 phone calls during the first lockdown to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the most vulnerable children.
Gill has worked in the school for over 12 years, and in that time has supported thousands of children through very challenging times.
She is in her 60s and remains the keenest staff member to learn new skills – Gill learnt how to use Teams to reach vulnerable children remotely.
