The temporary workers and supply teachers (NPS-PS-0088-18) framework is now live. This includes the new supply teacher element for local authorities, launched for the start of the 2019/20 academic year.

The framework consists of five lots, offering access to high volume managed service solutions for comprehensive temporary job roles, through a number of market leading supply models. For those with less frequent, ad-hoc requirements for temporary workers, there is a single supplier spot-buying lot. This provides quick and easy access to temporary workers through a compliant procurement route to market.

A new supply teacher framework has now been launched for local authority customers. Each local authority across Wales has a list of approved agencies specific to their area. These include both local and national providers, facilitating greater choice of suppliers for schools to use, with full visibility of agency fees.

We are working with Welsh Government Education colleagues and framework agencies to promote a minimum rate of pay for qualified supply teachers to recognise their qualified teacher status.

More information and guidance on all lots within the framework is available on Sell2Wales.

We will arrange the next customer focus group soon. If you would like further information on the group, or have any queries on the framework, please contact us on NPSPeopleServicesutilities@gov.wales.
