The report presents findings from research with parents of children aged six or under about their attitudes towards managing young children’s behaviour.
This is the latest release in the series: Parental attitudes towards managing young children’s behaviour
The fieldwork took place in Autumn 2017 and involved telephone surveys with 269 parents (or guardians) of young children who had previously taken part in the 2016-17 National Survey for Wales. Parents were asked about their attitudes on parenting and physical punishment. The survey also asked parents about accessing parenting advice, their views on legislative change and their awareness of the Parenting. Give it Time positive parenting campaign. This survey was broadly a repeat of previous research undertaken in 2015.
