In September 2022, local authorities submitted their latest Childcare Sufficiency Assessments (CSAs) to the Welsh Government. This report offers an overview of the themes and issues observed across all 22 CSAs.

This report provides a summary of the main themes identified from the review of all 22 CSAs, with reference to any geographical patterns where identified.
The main themes that have emerged from the analysis include:
- childcare financial support schemes
- workforce development
- barriers to accessing childcare
- Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
- Welsh language provision
- the future of childcare
