Fishery openings and forms for the cockle and mussel fisheries at Traeth Lafan, Traeth Melynog and Red Wharf Bay in north Wales.
We are working on a new Cockle Fisheries Management (Wales) Order.
The new order will come into force in 2024. It will replace:
- The Cockles and Mussels (Specified Areas) (Wales) Order 2011
- Byelaw 47 of the former South Wales Sea Fisheries Committee.
Under the new order, applicants will use our Manage fishing permits and catch returns service to apply for a cockle gathering permit.
