Assembly Members will be aware that alongside the draft budget the Welsh Government’s Chief Economist publishes a report summarising the economic and fiscal outlook. As there have been a number of economic assessments published recently on the potential economic impact of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU, the Chief Economist has published his analysis of those economic impact assessments. This analysis is annexed to this Written Statement.
Assembly Members will be aware the Welsh Government published our overall assessment of the Withdrawal Agreement and Political Declaration in a Written Statement on 27 November. The Chief Economist’s more detailed economic analysis is consistent with that overall assessment.
