I would like to inform Members a consultation document seeking views on the policy intention of the Designation Order and the Training Regulations being made under Part 1 of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 has been published today on the Welsh Government website.
My objective is to collate the views of those who will be affected by the new legislation and, in particular, the regulations.
I am keen to hear the views of stakeholders and will consider these carefully when drafting the regulations.
The consultation on these proposals will run for 7 weeks until 6 February 2015. Details of how to respond are set out in the consultation document.
This statement is being issued during recess in order to keep members informed. Should members wish me to make a further statement or to answer questions on this when the Assembly returns I would be happy to do so.
