Jane Hutt, Minister for Finance and Government Business
Today I published my End of Budget Tour 2014 ‘Priorities and Prospects’ report. It provides a summary of meetings and visits I have undertaken across Wales over the last six months to meet frontline staff who deliver our public services and service users, to listen to their views on our investment priorities.
Throughout the tour, there has been a clear consensus on the importance of collaboration, sustainability, prevention and early intervention. These messages are reflected in the Report and have also informed the development of the Draft Budget 2015-16, due to be published on 30 September.
The Report also includes some of the many good practice examples that were brought to my attention during the Tour, so that others across Wales can consider whether they could also benefit from these new ways of working.
