I published a consultation about the draft Public Health (Minimum Price for Alcohol) (Wales) Bill on 15 July 2015 which closed on 11 December 2015. A separate consultation for children and young people was also published outlining the proposals.
The consultation sought views about the Welsh Government’s proposal to reduce alcohol-related harm through the introduction of legislation for a minimum unit price for alcohol in Wales.

Minimum unit pricing for alcohol will now be a matter for the next Welsh Government to consider following the National Assembly elections.
