Item 1: Introduction and minutes of previous meeting
1.1 Cymeradwyodd y Cabinet gofnodion y 16 Medi / Cabinet approved the minutes of 16 September.
Item 2: Senedd business
2.1 Cabinet considered the Plenary grid and noted that voting time would be taking place around 6.15pm that day and was scheduled for 5:40pm on Wednesday.
Item 3: First Supplementary Budget 2024-2025
3.1 The Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Welsh Language introduced the paper, which asked Cabinet to approve the First Supplementary Budget of 2024-2025.
3.2 Whilst it was usual practise for the First Supplementary Budget to be published before summer recess, this year it had been delayed due to the UK General Election and the need to obtain figures from the UK Treasury.
3.3 However, it was largely procedural as it set out the changes since the 2024-25 Final Budget had been agreed. It regularised the budget to reflect changes arising from the UK Chancellor’s Statement in March and the technical reclassification of leases. The Supplementary Budget also restructured the MEGs to reflect the new Cabinet.
3.4 The First Supplementary Budget would be published on 1st October, with the debate scheduled for 22nd October.
3.5 Cabinet approved the paper, subject to officials taking account comments that had been made by Cabinet Secretaries and Ministers,
