Today the Welsh Government is publishing a report summarising the responses to the public consultation on land transaction tax reliefs. The consultation was launched on 8 April and closed on 19 May 2024.

The consultation invited views on the Welsh Government’s proposals regarding land transaction tax multiple-dwellings relief, the extension of an existing relief to Welsh local authorities and other reliefs.

All responses have now been considered. The report summarises the responses received in the consultation and sets out the Welsh Government’s response. The Welsh Government will continue to assess the potential impacts, benefits and costs of options related to LTT reliefs. I will provide an update on plans in due course.
