Angharad Jones: Chepstow School, Chepstow
Angharad’s passion for Welsh can be felt throughout Chepstow School.
A Welsh learner herself, Angharad fell in love with the language whilst on Cardiff University’s Welsh sabbatical course.
She is now head of the Bilingual Department at Chepstow School teaching learners to love the Welsh language and culture. Her support for all teachers is outstanding.
Angharad’s enthusiasm extends beyond the classroom: she visits five primary feeder schools to promote bilingualism and creates resources and games for them to “keep Welsh on the boil”.
