Issue
1. The Welsh Government Draft Budget 2024-25 was laid on 19 December 2023. The Draft Budget is currently being scrutinised by the Senedd, with the vote on the Final Budget taking place in the Siambr on 05 March 2024.
Background
2. At the final meeting of the Social Partnership Forum (a forerunner to the SPC) in December, several members proposed that the Draft Budget be included on the agenda for the first meeting of the SPC.
3. This proposal was agreed by the First Minister as Chair of the SPC, and a copy of the Draft Budget is attached at Annex A. This includes the Strategic Integrated Impact Assessment of the Draft Budget.
Recommendation
4. Members are invited to share their views on the Draft Budget with the Minister for Finance and Local Government who will be attending the SPC meeting.
