Our report on the Community Safety Review was published 12 December 2017. We remain committed to leading a programme of work to deliver safer communities and to work in partnership with our devolved and non devolved partners and stakeholders.
I am pleased to announce the Welsh Government has agreed funding to support a coordination role to provide a strategic interface between Welsh Government and Policing and the Welsh Local Government Association.
Our commitment in this area will to help us achieve our ambitions and sustainable vision for safer communities and prosperity for all across Wales.
This statement is being issued during recess in order to keep members informed. Should members wish me to make a further statement or to answer questions on this when the Assembly returns I would be happy to do so.
