The Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs and the Cabinet Secretary for Housing, Local Government and Planning have agreed the allocation of funding to Natural Resources Wales in 2025-26 to continue the designation process for a new National Park in north east Wales. The Cabinet Secretary for Housing, Local Government and Planning has also agreed to make a Written Statement later this year setting out the next steps for the designation and establishment of a new National Park Authority.
