1. The Co-chairs welcomed the commissioners and discussed the agenda.
Item 2: Acting Welsh Language Commissioner
2. The co-chairs thanked the Acting Welsh Language Commissioner for her written evidence. The commissioner summarised the main points from her evidence, including relationships with the UK government and their impacts on the Welsh language.

3. Professor Denham thanked the commission for the opportunity to contribute to the inquiry and set out his views on the need for governance reform to address the UK's economic and social inequalities.
