Item 1: Minutes of previous meetings
1.1 Cymeradwyodd y Cabinet gofnodion y 27 Mawrth / Cabinet approved the minutes of 27 March.
Item 2: Senedd business
2.1 Cabinet considered the Plenary grid and noted that voting time would be around 5:50pm on both Tuesday and Wednesday that week.
Item 3: Respiratory viruses update and forward planning 2023/2024
3.1 The Minister for Health and Social Services introduced the paper, which invited Cabinet to note the latest respiratory virus situation.
3.2 With the approach of spring and summer, it was expected that respiratory viruses would continue to ease. COVID-19 cases might remain relatively high, but this was not expected to translate into increased pressure on the health and care systems.
3.3 Vaccination remained the first line of defence against COVID-19 and the Spring Booster campaign had been launched on 1st April to provide additional protection for those that were 75 and over, residents of adult care homes and children aged 5 and over who were immunosuppressed.
3.4 Cabinet welcomed the update.
