Agile Cymru

Agile Cymru aims to deliver cross-border and international economic co-operation across shared interests. It includes flexible grant schemes to support co-operation activity across themes and sectors.

Further information is available in the Agile Cymru guidance.

Irish Sea Framework

We are developing an informal framework to increase economic co-operation across the Irish Sea region.

The framework will evolve and will complement all relevant policies, strategies and programmes. This will include the Ireland Wales Shared Statement and Action Plan and the 2021 to 2027 Interreg programmes.

Further information is available in the Irish Sea Framework guidance.

If you would like to join our network of Irish Sea stakeholders, please email the Agile Cymru team at AgileCymru@gov.wales

International Research and Innovation

Horizon Europe is the largest ever transnational programme supporting research and innovation. Run by the European Commission until 2027, it has a budget of €100bn.

The UK’s status as an associate country member of the programme has been agreed in principle today (7 September 2023).

This means that for the 2024 work programme, organisations from Wales will be eligible to apply and receive funding from the Horizon Europe programme.

Further information and how to apply can be found on the Horizon Europe page.

For more information email HorizonEurope@gov.wales.
