Thank you for your request which we received on 17 March. You asked for:

• A breakdown of those organisations and individuals including those defined as anonymous respondents (121) and what was the suggested range of the numbers of days stated by each of them;

• This request relates to the Welsh Government Consultation – summary of response Local taxes for second homes and self-catering accommodation where it states in relation to question 9 -

• "A total of 121 responses provided alternative suggestions for the actually let criteria, with 118 suggesting a threshold higher than the current 70 days, ranging from 77 to 365 days. The most common specific suggestions were 105 days (38 responses) and 182 days or 6 months (9 responses)."

ANNEX 1 – EXTRACT OF RESPONSES

The consultation received 123 responses providing suggestions for the actually let criterion. Of these, two suggestions provided the value of 70 days, in line with the existing criteria, and are therefore not included in the following table. After further analysis, we have identified that, of the 121 suggestions providing alternatives, 120 suggested higher thresholds and one suggested a lower threshold.
