Dear

ATISN 16129

Thank you for your request which I received on 2 March 2022. You asked for the following information:

In light of the 'First' Minister's recent announcement making available £4m to assist with the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, may I ask from what budget this has money has come from; the £682.2m allocated to Covid-19? The £380m to protect ore NHS services? The additional £50m for contact tracing? The Hardship Fund? Post-Brexit funding? Free school dinners for Primary School kids? A free tree for all households?

At this stage of the financial year, Welsh Government resources are managed collectively to ensure we are utilising those resources in the most efficient and effective way.  Details of Welsh Government spending will be reported after the year end in the Annual Accounts and Outturn Report.

If you are dissatisfied with the Welsh Government’s handling of your request, you can ask for an internal review within 40 working days of the date of this response. Requests for an internal review should be addressed to the Welsh Government’s Freedom of Information Officer at:

Information Rights Unit
Welsh Government

or e-mail: Freedom.ofinformation@gov.wales

Please remember to quote the ATISN reference number above.
