After overcoming a serious gambling addiction that derailed life Jordan Lea from Llysfaen, North Wales set out to help others affected by gambling.

He set up Dealmeout at the end of 2019 to provide education, prevention and support for those who have experienced harm from gambling. But after losing his home and job with the closure of pubs in March 2020, and seeing the cries for help during the pandemic, Jordan knew the time was right to put all efforts into DMO. The business has grown to employ seven people with an expansion into the rest of the UK for this year creating 4 new jobs.

The company delivers education workshops in schools, sports clubs, the criminal justice service, NHS and public health, community and faith groups and businesses, It also provides a programme designed to support women, led by women with experience of gambling harm focusing on women that have gone through addiction, and those that have experienced harm of somebody else's gambling (affected others).

In April 21 Dealmeout became the provider of a National education programme for Wales funded by the Gambling commission’s regulatory settlement fund with a key emphasis on both Welsh and English delivery and has started its support service, DMOConnect, a holistic support service utilising the beautiful landscapes of Snowdonia.
