Introductions and update from secretariat
The secretariat gave an update on their recent activities.
Panel noted decision from Welsh Government on the proposed Llanbedr scheme in light of rapid review. Written statement from Deputy Minister for Climate Change 01/11/2021 confirms acceptance of Chair’s recommendations and that Welsh Government will not support any further work on the current Llanbedr Access Road scheme.
Developing the criteria for roads review assessment
There was a discussion on the third draft of the roads review assessment criteria which have been updated following considered of all comments captured at Roads Review Panel Meeting No.3.
Project allocation, programme and ways of working
Secretariat shared proposed programme and support team allocations for review of confirmed schemes within scope of review.
Review of individual schemes
There was a discussion on two individual schemes. Panellists shared considerations following review of scheme documents and application of criteria. This will inform summaries of key considerations for ministers.
