We want your views on the draft Joint Fisheries Statement (JFS).

This is a joint consultation between the Welsh, UK, Scottish and Northern Ireland governments.

Under the Fisheries Act 2020, the 4 UK administrations (the fisheries policy authorities) must prepare and publish a JFS. This sets out:

our policies for achieving the fisheries objectives in the act
a statement explaining the intended use of fisheries management plans
a statement on how we have applied the fisheries objectives in formulating the policies and plans
