Management information update on coronavirus testing up to 23 May 2021.
This is not the latest release in the series: Testing data for coronavirus (COVID-19)
Statistics on coronavirus testing:
- authorised antigen tests per day
- number of individuals tested (antigen)
- number of antigen tests on critical workers
- location of antigen tests
- timeliness of antigen tests
- antibody tests
They have been published to provide a weekly summary of data on coronavirus testing.
The data are management information, not official statistics, and are revised regularly. The Public Health Wales surveillance dashboard is updated daily with the most recent data, including revisions to the data published here.
Our guide on Understanding data on coronavirus (COVID-19) testing provides a further explanation of these data.
Antigen lateral flow tests (such as those being used at the mass testing centres in Merthyr Tydfil) are not included in this publication. If a person receives a positive result from an antigen lateral flow test then they are required to complete a standard swab antigen test which would be included in the data presented.
The underlying data that was previously published in tables 6 to 11 in the excel tables alongside this release are now available on StatsWales. Public Health Wales (PHW) publishes a daily surveillance dashboard which includes the daily data, previously published in tables 1 to 5.
