Fusion's work supporting cultural organisations to improve people's wellbeing and employment skills.
In this collection
Fusion is our programme developed as a response to the Culture and Poverty report written by Baroness Andrews and published in 2014.
It encourages collaboration between culture and heritage organisations and bodies such as local authorities, to increase opportunities for those in areas of economic disadvantage. These opportunities include:
- access to volunteering
- working together with communities
- work experience
- improvement of digital skills
- early years
- family learning
- improve approaches to learning and wellbeing.
The Fusion delivery plans and Infographics show an overview of the current programme and recent achievements.
The Fusion Challenge Grant Scheme is delivered by the Fusion coordinators in following areas:
- Cardiff
- Carmarthenshire
- Conwy
- Neath Port Talbot
- Newport
- Swansea
- Torfaen
- Caerphilly
- in partnership a variety of local and national cultural and heritage partners. This includes:
- the National Library of Wales
- National Museum Wales
