We would like your views on proposed changes to the independent review mechanism (IRM) for qualifying determinations.
Consultation description
We are consulting on draft regulations that will:
- remove the entitlement to an independent review
- ensure qualifying determination reviews can be heard through the fostering provider’s or adoption agency’s complaints procedures
- ensure that complaints procedures are robust enough to act as an alternative to the existing IRM
