Kirsty Redmond is 21 and has risen to the challenge of training whilst coping with overwhelming family challenges. Despite herself having learning difficulties, she is carer for two siblings and her father. When her mother died, Kirsty was suddenly left with the responsibility of caring for her family.
Training provider PeoplePlus helped Kirsty through a Traineeship Engagement Programme and then on to Level 1 in Health and Social Care and this led to a job with Fredericks House care home in Merthyr Tydfil.
